How does mainstream media not jump all over the news that nuclear power has apparently saved millions of lives? Then there’s the climate change angle, the massive amount of carbon emissions that seems to have been prevented. This strikes me as big!

  1. My guess is the word “apparently” isn’t a hard sell. Correlation/causality and all that. I’m still struck by the revelation that to convert the US to nuclear power would require half the freshwater rivers in the country for cooling. This is on top of geographic risk features, proximity to population, etc.
